Protect home care for Missourians

Home care attendants and consumers are coming together around the state to protect the critical care nearly 50,000 Missouri seniors and people with disabilities depend on. MHCUAdClip.jpgProposed changes to the state's Consumer Directed Services Program--including a plan to contract with an outside firm to assess consumer needs--threaten to undermine the future of home care for many in the state.

Seniors, people with disabilities and home care attendants held a press conference April 7th in the Capitol to call on the Governor and their elected officials to protect Missouri families by stopping attempts to cut care and fully funding the state's home care program. The same day, the Missouri Home Care Union ran an ad in the Jefferson City News Tribune (pictured above). To download the full ad, click here.
